I want to give a praise report. The young man, Ben, i requested prayer for is out of the hospital and returned to light duty work this week. The doctor had given him a 5 percent chance of survival. He told Ben that it was a miracle that he recovered from his heart attack. Thank you for all the prayers. God does answer our prayers.

We've received an update on baby Justice --- surgery this morning; 10-10
In terms of the procedure, they did not complete the whole procedure. The plan was to do a Double Switch operation (where they “flip” his heart to work properly).
The first phase of the procedure was to do a Pulmonary Artery banding to strengthen the ventricle. Once the ventricle is strong, then conduct the full Double Switch operation. While doing the PA banding, the surgeon tested the pressure that the ventricle could handle. The “ideal” pressure is in the 60-70 range. Justice got to a 50 and his heart improved overall function, but could not handle higher than 50.
With that, the plan is to keep his PA band in place until Monday and then re-evaluate his heart to see if it is stronger and functions better. If it does, going forward with the procedure is the best course of action. If not, the PA banding will remain in place until a later date for the Double Switch.
We want to thank everyone for all the love and support and Justice is doing great thanks to them and the power of God.

Please pray for newborn baby Justice, grandson of Ken and Sonya Pounders. He will undergo heart surgery at Boston Children's Hospital tomorrow, Oct. 10th. A serious heart problem was discovered in Justice several months before his birth the last week of September, so this surgery has been planned for several months. Please pray for healing in this baby's heart. Pray for the surgeons, for his body to respond well, for complete correction in his heart, and pray for the families walking this journey. Proud great grandparents are Jim and Judy Summers.

We are supposed to be going home again today. Here is what we are facing:
-Josslyn’s heart rate has been insanely high. Throughout the night and this morning with no real reason to why. -We can’t get her to calm down nor can we get her to sleep. -The pediatrician, who the doctors called yesterday and thoroughly explained Josslyn’s case so they would be able to take over her care, she called Will this morning and decided to refer us to someone else. It took us SO long to work things out with a pediatrician and now we have to go through the whole process again. -It’s flooding in Houston and the clouds signal more rain to be coming.
Josslyn needs a healing touch from Jesus. We need to get out of this hospital. We need prayers.
Honestly, being stuck in here would not be near as bad if Josslyn were able to run around and play with the other kids in the hall.

An update on Michelle Chaney:
August 24: Michelle is heading back to surgery right now. They will remove her toe. Please pray for her and the team that is working on her foot.
August22: Michelle remains in Huntsville hospital. She's had an MRI, is receiving IV antibiotics, and is waiting for a specialist to come to her room for full reports. It appears now that her foot is not in danger of amputation, but the toe remains a concern. Please pray that the loss of her toe will not be necessary because of the healing that will happen before their very eyes! Michelle says her spirits are good.

Please pray for Michelle. She has a very bad infection on her toe and cellulites in her leg that the doctors are saying that they might have to amputate her toe or her foot due to the severity of this infection. Lets pray for complete healing in her foot.

After several days of monitoring and testing doctors believe she will need a pacemaker, but they are waiting for final decisions/doctor's opinions on this. Pray for Fran and Candace as they wait for news and for Fran's possible surgery.
Donna Parker is doing well after her surgery Monday to receive a pacemaker. She should be released from the hospital today. Continue to pray for her as she recovers.

Saturday evening: Urgent Prayer Request: Jossie has had a hard time today, she has thrown up numerous times and Will just texted that she just threw up again. I know the medical staff is working this, but I think they are baffled too. Please pray she quits throwing up and the medical staff can figure out why this is happening.

Tuesday, July 30th; update on Jossie Today. Today has been hard. It’s odd that today was so hard because nothing bad happened; I think the struggle is that nothing good happened either. Today, Will and I watched Josslyn’s occupational therapy session and our hearts just broke. Into pieces. Tiny tiny pieces. We watched our sweet girl sitting up in the floor supported, unable to hold her head up, unable to focus for long, unable to reach out and grab a toy. A month ago she was climbing chairs and jumping on a moon bounce. Now she can barely move. We praise The Lord that her heart is in a stable place, we praise Him that she’s still alive. Our hearts are shattered though, because while we can see her lying in the bed, we can’t see our Josslyn. We are begging God for a miracle. A big big one. We need to see The Holy Spirit move.. a healing that only a touch from Jesus Christ can bring.. In the coming weeks we will be tasked to make some decisions as her parents. Please pray The Lord goes before us and makes the right choices obvious. Prayer points: *that Josslyn will show interest in feeding and will pass a swallow study. (She has to show more interest before they will even test her.) *if she doesn’t show feeding interest nor pass a swallow study they will be asking us to put in a G-tube (long term feeding tube in her stomach). We are asking God for a miracle, that she will begin to show interest in feeding and won’t need the G tube, but if that’s God’s will please ask Him to give us peace about it. *That her brain will be fully restored and she will have the following abilities: to see, hear, understand and process what she sees and hears, understand language, be able to speak, be able to have thoughts, be able to sit up, stand, walk, have control over the movement of all of her body parts, ability to hold her head up, ability to focus her eyes.
We give God all the glory that Josslyn’s heart is able to function off of the ventilator and the milrinone, though it might still be weak it is enough! We praise Him for it. We praise Him that Josslyn is able to respond to touch and can tell when someone is holding her or patting her... we just know that He is all powerful and more than capable of healing her completely.. so we are just going to keep asking Him for total healing. We thank you all for the prayers and for being on this journey with us so far. We hope you will all continue to pray for our girl and expect a miracle! We need to see big things in the next couple weeks. We know our Jesus is more than able!

Please pray for Tim McDonald. He was taken to the ER last weekend and diagnosed with Bell's Palsey and sent home. Last night (Monday) he had to return to the ER with a migraine he's had since last Tuesday, unable to breathe and unable to swallow. He has an appointment with a spinal specialist on Thursday, but is in desperate need of our prayers today.
Continue to pray for Jossie. God has performed miracles in this baby's body, but critical needs for brain tissue to be completely restored to life and for heart function to improve. She was taken off of oxygen Monday and continued to breathe on her own as though there had been no change. Hallelujah!

Tuesday morning update from Will Hurst: Tuesday Update: The MRI came back how the doctors figured it would. It mostly aligned with the images of the CT. Praise The Lord that they are no longer concerned with her brain stem! Though they did find lesions on the part of her brain which controls heart rate, blood pressure and temperature. We will talk to neurology later today to further discuss what they expect from the other damaged parts as well as how they would like to move forward. We know God has the final say of what those actually mean. When awake her heart rate and blood pressure are still high, but with assistance of medicine she has a fairly normal heart rate and blood pressure when she sleeps. We’re taking that as a blessing. Thanks be to God! They are meeting with a new heart team today to discuss getting an MRI of her heart to further assess it’s functioning. The echo shows poor function but despite that and with the assist of some meds it hasn’t gotten worse and she has adequate cardiac output. Please continue to pray and believe with us for a miracle. There have been too many signs and promises from God that don’t add up to this being over. He’s not done with our little girl! Please pray for a bowel movement. She hasn’t had one since we’ve been admitted on June 26th. And please pray for us. This is hard and tiring. We challenge you to seek the Father and do what you have to do to keep faith and not let it waver. He’s still in control.

An update on Baby Jossie --- The biggest part of today will be an MRI around noon. The staff said she shows signs of a baby with brain damage, but God! We are expecting the MRI to come back clean! Expect with us.
She’s also getting her chest tube and one of her catheters removed! We mentioned a wound on the back of her head a couple weeks ago. They warned us she would lose hair in spot. Not anymore! It’s looking great!
Thank You Lord! Healing is taking place before our eyes! God is SO good!

Friday afternoon --- Urgent need of prayer for Josslyn Hurst. Her brain is beginning to swell, only in a spot that cuts off her brain stem. We were just told if it progresses it would turn into total brain death. We are broken. Scared. And need Jesus more than ever.

Urgent Friday morning prayer request from Kelsey and Will Hurst --- update on Josslyn I don’t know how to tell you this. I didn’t know how to hear it. They did a CT today that they intended to do two weeks ago. They told us this morning that most of her brain tissue is dying. They said she would never be able to communicate, feed herself, or go to school. They have once again cut off all sedation meds and want to see how she wakes up today. They said there isn’t anymore they can do for her. This news conflicts with the dreams The Lord has given our loved ones of her being in her teens and adulthood speaking on stages. This conflicts with the dream I had of Josslyn and I walking through a parted sea. This conflicts with The Lord speaking to Will early on that He wasn’t going to take her... we’ve been asking for a miracle. She’s now set up to receive a Huge miracle. We’ve been asking for a big move of God. This situation calls for a BIG move of God. Will you trust Him with us today?

Thursday, 7-11, Jossie update --- They have successfully closed Jossie's chest incision. Now they will be cutting ALL sedation and pain meds to allow her body a chance to clear them and for her to wake up some!
We are expecting BIG things today! Thank you Jesus for healing and all the little steps towards it!
